Products — Blanket arrays
Ultra-low-cost wing architecture.
High-power arrays have priced most programs out of the kilowatt classes they need. We designed the cost out of the structure rather than the cell. Strain-energy deployment, a carbon composite pantograph tube, and an aluminum restraint cage replace the hand-built mechanisms that drive array pricing. The blanket is one module repeated, so it runs on automated equipment and the same process covers 4 kW to 24 kW. Scaling up buys more of the same parts, not a new design.

Two ways to buy
Buy the blanket, or buy the wing
If you already have a deployment structure, take the blanket alone and integrate it. If you do not, purchase the complete wing; blanket, pantograph, and containment structure, delivered as one qualified assembly.
Blanket only
The photovoltaic blanket and its harnessing, delivered with flying leads. You supply deployment and containment.
Complete wing
Blanket plus the carbon or aluminum pantograph, deployment structure and aluminum containment cage, as one assembly.
Configurations
Standard power classes
Each configuration is built from the MOD-0360, MOD-0800 or MOD-1000 module, selected against your voltage, stowed volume and areal constraints.
Width and length are deployed dimensions. 24 kW is the top of the standard scale; higher power classes are in development. Semi-custom modifications of our standard designs are available.
24 KW WING
STANDARD PLATFORMS; BUILT FOR YOUR MISSION
Custom solar arrays strain program budgets before the mission even starts. Our standard designs flex to meet mission-specific requirements while keeping manufacturing costs, and your budget, under control.
Qualified against launch environments for typical spacecraft installation.
Circuit architecture
Series in the column, parallel across the wing
Each module carries four strings on a single blanket substrate. Parallel and series connections are made module to module, with physical connections onto continuous tension straps, so the blanket grows in length without new hardware.
The 24 kW wing resolves to four circuits of 24S × 2P — eight strings across the wing. A single string failure costs 12.5% of wing power, no more.
Blanket
Modules mounted on one continuous substrate, assembled in length and folded at hinge lines between rows.
Deployment
Carbon composite pantograph tube driven by stored strain energy — no motor, no deployment sequencing hardware.
Containment
Aluminum restraint cage holds the stowed stack with a compact centre of mass, released by seven HDRMs.
Integration
Bottom blanket support structure can be shared with the spacecraft side wall. Delivered SADA compatible with flying leads.
Availability
Available for Q3 2027 delivery
All values on this page are subject to change until qualification is complete.
Booking slots for Q3 2027 are allocated at contract award. Earlier slots may be available for blanket-only orders.
Size your wing.
Send us your power class, stowed volume, and whether you need the deployment structure. We reply with a configuration, a mass estimate, and a price.
